Wayne McKethan, C.P.A

President and Owner, of The Financial City Manager, LLC, has achieved remarkable success utilizing his financial, corporate and public service careers to bring financial integrity and reliability to governmental entities and activities through experience and specialized knowledge.

Twenty-plus years as a financial executive with Bank of America and a Certified Public Accountant positioned Wayne well for success in a ten-year public service career as City Manager and Finance Director for a well-known city in Texas.  Utilizing his extensive educational background consisting of a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Baylor University, Master’s Degree in Economics from Louisiana State University and Post Graduate work in Accounting from the University of Texas, Wayne has created a combination of skill sets and understanding commensurate with financial success.

 

During service as a City Manager and Finance Director, the City experienced the highest Sales Tax Revenue, Tourism related Hotel Occupancy Tax, Bond Ratings and Retail Expansion in the City’s history.  Significant improvement projects were advanced/completed such as Airport Expansion, Historic Opera House restoration and the construction of a new Surface Water Distribution Plan and completion of a “City-owned” Hotel, Conference Center and City Beach Park.

 

Experience serving as a Board Member and Treasurer of an Economic Development Corporation bringing retail and manufacturing activity to an area has positioned him well to assist cities and counties in realizing economic growth for their constituents through the use of grants, loans and strategic investment in infrastructure and development related assets.
